Need a Massage?
Updated: Jul 20, 2018
Samantha Montoya is a certified massage practitioner who offers massage therapy, chakra balancing, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic massage, and treatment for injuries, stress, and headaches. Her specialty is in intuitive work, meaning that she is trained to “listen”, in other words, she is able to observe and follow the direction for the session that will best fit the client. She and her client work together to accomplish this.
Samantha decided to work in this field after personally experiencing the healing techniques of massage therapy. She was first introduced to the field as a teen the arts high school she attended and continued feeling its benefits while pursuing a dance degree at Chapman University. Maintaining a demanding class and performance schedule required that she did more rehabilitating work. She enjoyed the benefits so much that she decided to work in the field herself.
One of the reasons she loves her work today is because of the instant gratification she receives from helping someone feel better. One of Samantha’s favorite things about the services she offers is creating aromatherapy blends to use in her massage lotion and diffuse during sessions. Essential oils can benefit circulation, soothe muscles, and promote a positive mood. Aromatherapy is always included in her sessions at no extra cost (unless otherwise requested not to be used).
In addition to aromatherapy, a unique aspect of Samantha’s practice is that she offers suggestions on exercises, stretches, ergonomics, and referrals to other practitioners that might be of continued benefit for her clients.
This December, Samantha will celebrate 10 years in massage therapy and wants to share this milestone. She is offering first time clients through December 2018 a complementary Chakra Balancing, valued at $25, to use on a follow up session. This is usually done at the end of a session after muscle tension is worked out. Seven crystals are used to balance the Chakras for healing and renewal.
